The devil never ceases to challenge the Lord and His
people, for he has a deep-seated hate for everything
that is in total contrast to Him. (II Cor. 11:14;

A. Title as Son of God: Personal. (Jn. 3:16)
1. Satanic hostility to this name: Jesus. (Mt.

a. Despises use of title to Jesus. (Mt. 4:3,6)
1. Satan’s son. (Gen. 3:15) Antichrist. (Jn.

2. Saviour God’s Son. (Gen. 3:15) Christ. (Heb.

b. Despised use of title to Adam. (Lk. 3:38)
